Mikulov Castle, presently the seat of the Regional Museum in Mikulov, dates back to the 13th century and, reconstructed in 1719-1730, was a former residence of the princes of Dietrichstein.
Mikulov Castle (German: Nikolsburg), is housing art and historical collections with artefacts relating to the history of local wine production, including the Renaissance wine barrel, dating from 1643 and one of the largest (1,014 hectolitres) wine barrels in Central Europe.
Mikulov Castle is also a venue for corporate and private events, such as receptions, weddings...
