Moesgaard Museum

Museums & Art Centres
The Moesgaard Museum is a prehistory and ethnographic museum with international renowned collections, including a unique collection of anatomically precise reconstructions of human species, ethnographic exhibitions and archaeological exhibitions.

The collection regarding the precise reconstruction of human species is about three contemporary people: An Australian aborigine, Stephen Hawking, the internationally acclaimed British physicist, and a Siberian female shaman.

The archaeological exhibitions display the lives of the species of the past through the use of narratives and settings with light, sounds and animations.

The ethnographic exhibition, The Lives of the Dead, allows the visitors to experience the many different ways people around the world remember their deceased relatives.

The historical building, The Moesgaard Manor, is home of the museum administration and Aarhus University offices and student facilities. The visitors can only enjoy the park.
