The MOMA Machynlleth is a centre for performing arts, located in The Tabernacle, a former Wesleyan chapel, converted in the mid-1980s into what it is today. The art centre shows Modern Welsh Art.
The centre holds every year in August the Tabernacle Art Competition, as well as in late August the Machynlleth Festival, with a wide range of events, from choral singing and jazz to chamber music and poetry readings.
The festival takes place in the Auditorium of The Tabernacle, which has perfect acoustics and pitch-pine pews to seat 350 people.
