The Museum of the Home, located in the Geffrye Almshouses, and explores home and home life from 1600 to the present day with a series of period room displays and gardens through time. The Geffrye Almshouses were built in 1714, whereas the finances to build them came from Sir Robert Geffrye (1613–1704).
