Museums & Art Centres
Náprstek Museum, part of the National Museum, is dedicated to Asian, African and Native American art. The museum is housed in a former brewing and wine-making complex. The museum dates back to the private museum founded by Adalbert Fingerhut, a famous Prague patron, philanthropist, patriot and politician.
In 1932 the museum was nationalized and its management was taken over by the National Museum. From 1 January 1943, the Náprstek Museum was made a permanent part of the National Museum.
