National Museum of Denmark is a museum of cultural history, in particular Damark's history, but also and around the globe from Africa to the Mediterranean countries, Asia, the Americas, Oceania and the Arctic.

Denmark's history is highlighted with exhibitions from the stone Age, the Viking Age, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and Modern Danish History. 

The museum is located in The Prince’s Palace, built in 1743-44, and a former royal residence.
