Castles & Country Houses, Museums & Art Centres, Music
Nebilovy Castle, a beautiful Baroque castle, is in public hands and in the process of reconstruction. The finished front part is used for cultural and private events such as concerts.

The Baroque building complex was designed by the imperial architect Lucas von Hildebrandt and commissioned by Adam Heinrich Graf von Steinau, the Austro-Hungarian field-marshall in 1706 and further build-up around 1720 by Antonie countess Czernin of Chudenice. The two buildings are situated across from each other, and the sides are lined with arcade galleries.

It stayed in the Czernin ownership till 1816, when the castle was inherited by Count Christian  Wallenstein-Wartenberg (see also Kozel Castle). As of 1967 the castle has been in the Czech public ownership.

The interior features paintings from the 1790s by A. Tuvora, furniture and a Collection of floral cut glass chandeliers in the Venetian style.
