Neues Museum

Museums & Art Centres
The Neues Museum, being one of the five museums forming the "Museum Insel" (Museum Island), is dedicated to the cultural history of our ancestors. The museum features  around 9,000 interesting and unusual objects from Europe and the Middle East, from the earliest Stone Age to the Middle Ages, including the main attraction: the Nefertiti Bust.

The museum was originally built between 1841 and 1859 in Neoclassical and Renaissance Revival styles by the architect Friedrich August Stüler, as an extension to the Old Museum.
