Nicolai Malko Competition For Young Conductors

The Nicolai Malko Competition, established in 1965, is a triennial competition for young conductors, initiated and organised by the Danish National Symphony Orchestra.

It aims to identify and bring out those great young musical talents who will one day grace the podia of leading orchestras all over the world. 

Maestro Fabio Luisi, principal conductor of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, is the chairman of the Nicolai Malko Competition and will be personal mentor to its winner.

The Nicolai Malko Competition was under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Henrik until his recent death.
