Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek displays a stunning collection of antique and modern sculptures, as well as a beautiful collection of modern, mainly, French paintings. The collection is built around the private collection of Carl Jacobson (1842–1914), son of the founder of the Carlsberg Breweries.
It contains over 10,000 works of art and archaeological objects, spanning 6000 years.
