Old Town Hall - Bratislava City Museum

Old Town Hall is a complex of buildings, created in the 15th century by connecting three townhouses, combined with several reconstructions in the course of the centuries. It has a tower dating from 1370, offering a stunning round view of Bratislava.

It houses the oldest museum in Bratislava, the Bratislava City Museum. The museum was founded in 1868 and is focused the history of the people living in Bratislava within the context of the events that have shaped their lives from pre-history up to the present day. 

Bratislava City Museum offers nine permanent exhibition locations, situated mainly in the historical old-town centre. the locations outside the old-centre are the Natural Cultural Heritage Site, Devín Castle, and the Ancient Gerulata Museum in Rusovce.

The large collections contain archaeological findings, heritage of rich artisanal activities and industry, viticulture, cultural and social life, as well as ethnology, the history of pharmacy and numismatics.
