Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Gardens & Parks
Painswick House, originally known as "Buenos Ayres", was built early 18th century by Charles Hyett to escape the bad smog of Gloucester. The grounds include the Painswick Rococo Garden, which was restored in the 1990s by its owner, Lord Dickinson.
The restoration is based on a painting, made in 1748, by Thomas Robins the Elder.
The gardens are also a venue for weddings.
