Petit Palais

Monuments & Sites, Museums & Art Centres
The Petit Palais was built for the 1900 Universal Exhibition, together with its neighbour the Grand Palais and the Pont Alexandre III. Being  "Palais des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris" since 1902, it displays for a substantial part the collections of art from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, as well as its collection regarding European history and other civilisations.

The Petit Palais, designed by Charles Girault, has a beautiful courtyard and garden.

Noteworthy are also the decorative murals and sculptures, created over the relatively long period from 1903-1925.
