Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks
Port Lympne Mansion, today a luxury hotel, is a grand Edwardian house in the Cape Dutch style, constructed between 1914-1920. It was designed by Sir Herbert Baker, whereas the garden was designed by the owner, Sir Philip Sassoon, supported by Philip Tilden.

After a period of decay the property was rescued by John Aspinall during the last quarter of the 20th century, and today used as a luxury hotel.

The house is surrounded by 6 ha (15 acres) of landscape gardens and 243 ha (600 acres) of wild life reserve, including magnificent rhinos, cheetah, tigers, bears, gorillas and much more.
