Rockingham Castle, dating back to William the Conquerer, 11th century, has been for over 450 years in the family of the present owner, James Saunders Watson. The Castle, with its family collections, and the beautiful gardens, are open to the public.
The gardens (around 12 acres) include terraces (17th century), yew hedges, a woodland garden (19th century), a circular rose garden and a 1960s wild garden.
The Castle is available for corporate and private events such as meetings, weddings...
Rockingham Castle Park is also a venue for large-scale fairs such as Country Fairs, Antique Fairs and Music Festivals.
