Schönhausen Palace

Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks
Schönhausen Palace was build as the summer residence of the Prussian queen Elisabeth Christine, Frederick the Great’s wife. It is open to the public.

A substantial part of the outstanding 17th and 18th century interior décor, the magnificent ballroom and elegant stairways have been preserved as well as valuable wall coverings and luxurious furnishings in the queen’s living quarters and state rooms. The richly stuccoed ballroom is the only late Rococo room preserved in its original form in modern Berlin.
