Schloss Eremitage Waghaeusel is a baroque castle and former hunting lodge for the prince-bishops of Speyer, built 1724 -1729 by Michael Ludwig Rohrer. Today, castle and park are being restored.
The castle will house four museum rooms, representing "the History of Eremitage", "the Sugar factory Waghäusel", "Natural Reserve Wagbachniederung" and "the Revolution in Baden-the Battles for Liberty in Waghäusel 1849".
Furthermore the castle is used for weddings and other private and cultural events, such as theatre, seminars, expositions...
