Shugborough Hall has been in the Anson family since 1624 until the death of the 4th Earl of Lichfield in 1960. Today it is in the hands of the National Trust and open to the public.
It includes the hall, the state rooms, the private apartments housing an exhibition of the work of Patrick Lichfield (photography), park, garden and a model farm.
The park includes a Chinese folly and bridge, a Temple of the Winds, a Shepherd's Monument, a Doric Temple, some ruins, the Victorian terraced garden, a replanted 'Victorian-style rose garden' and thePatrick Lichfield's Island Garden, the late Lord Lichfield's scenic Arboretum.
