Stirling Castle
Ii thrones atop the Castle Hill and is surrounded on three sides by steep cliffs, giving it a strong strategic position.
Most of the castle dates from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, with a few structures of the fourteenth century. The outer defences fronting the town, date from the early eighteenth century.
There is much to discover, such as The Great Hall, built around 1503 for James IV, The Royal Palace, The Chapel Royal, The Great Kitchens, the famous Stirling Tapestries, the Vaults with children attractions, the Castle Exhibition, the Stirling Heads Gallery, the Regimental Museum and the Queen Anne Gardens.
Stirling Castle is also a venue for TV, Film & Photo shooting, corporate and private events, such as meetings, receptions, weddings...
