Museums & Art Centres
The Styrian Armoury, part of the Joanneum Universal Museum, houses the world's largest preserved historical armoury displays some 32,000 objects from the 15th to the 18th century. It presents a living memorial to a chequered, conflict-ridden past.
The uniqueness of the Styrian Armoury is due to the way its exhibits are stored. The collection conveys the atmosphere of an original seventeenth-century arsenal, and contains armour, fire arms and cannons, staff and edged weapons, bullet moulds and powder flasks.
