The Torre dei Lamberti is a 84 m high tower, dating back to 1172, with a spiral stair. The clock dates from 1779 and there are two bells. One, the 'Marangona' for fires and hours, whereas the other, the 'Rengo' is meant to be used to call the people to arms and call the city's councils.
The tower is open to the public.
