Villa Arconati

Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Gardens & Parks
Villa Arconati was built, during the 17th and 18th century in Baroque style, for the Arconati family. After 1772 it was further embellished by the Busca family. Today it houses the Fondazione Augusto Rancilio, which maintains and restores the site.

The villa is surrounded by12 hectares of berceaux, carpinches, classical sculptures and fountains.

During the Arconati period, the famous architect Giovanni Ruggeri was commissioned in 1742 for a number of extensions and embellishments, whereas the Gallari brothers executed magnificent fresco works inside the villa.

Thanks to the Marchesa Beatrice Crivelli, who had inherited the site, the villa and gardens came safe through the 20th century.

The Foundation Augusto Rancilio opened it to the public by guided visits and events, such as conventions, meetings, Film & Photograph shootings, and conferences.
