W. C. Byrd Competition

The William C. Byrd Young Artist Competition is an annual international music competition for young musicians held on the first Saturday of March.

The grand prize consists of $6,000 plus an opportunity to perform with the Flint Symphony Orchestra and Enrique Diemecke, Conductor and Music Director.

The Competition rotates annually among the four disciplines Piano, Strings, Winds & Bass and Voice.
