West Dean, surrounded by a beautiful landed estate, is not only a real centre for conservation and creative arts, but has also one of the greatest restored gardens, open to the public.
Today owned and managed by The Edward James Foundation, West Dean is executing the vision of its founder and Surrealist patron, Edward James, by connecting today's students and visitors with a rich heritage of arts, craft and creative opportunies.
The Arts and Crafts garden was designed by Harold Peto in 1911
