Wildegg Castle was constructed in the first half of the 13th century by the Habsburg. It was owned by the Effinger family for eleven generations.
Today, the castle is owned since 2011 by the canton of Aargau, but the visitors experience the Effinger family lifestyle with their sophisticated culture and the exquisite taste. The castle is closed during winter.
The castle is also a venue for cultural, corporate and private events, such as concerts, receptions, weddings...
