Young Pianist of the North International Competition
Music
YPN competition was initiated and created in 2008 by its artistic director, Marika Meshkuna-Slater. The annual competition promotes and develops experience, learning, international communication and the pursuit of excellence and joy through and in music.
It offers international stage, access to world class expertise and a platform for communications and exchange to young talented pianists of the world as well as piano teachers, parents and a wider community.
There are three categories: Cat. A (under 12), Cat. B (under 17) and Cat. C (under 21).
