Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Gardens & Parks, Private Collections
Château de Villandry, built in the 16th century around the remains of an earlier castle from the 14th century, is since 1906 the family seat of the Cavallo family. It is well known not only for its impressive gardens but also for its beautiful interior. Castle and gardens are open to the public all year round.

Villandry was constructed early 16th century by Jean Le Breton, France's Controller-General for War of King François I. King Philip II of France once met at Villandry the King of England, Richard I, to discuss peace.  During the French Revolution it was confiscated from the Marquis de Castellane, after which Napoleon acquired it for his brother Jérôme. Early 20th century it was bought by the great-grandfather of the present owner.

Villandry is also a venue for receptions and seminars.
