The Beaulieu-en-Rouergue Abbey (L'abbaye Notre-Dame de Beaulieu-en-Rouergue), a former Cistercian monastery dating back to 1144, houses today a museum of contemporary art.
The abbey and the collection of contemporary were donated by M. Brache and Mme. Bonnefo to the French State in 1973 , who transformed it into the museum as we know it today.
