The Belvedere 21 - B21
The Belvdere's three locations are: the Upper Belvedere (Oberes Belvedere-OB), the Lower Belvedere (Unteres Belvedere-UB), and the Belvedere 21-B21.
The Belvedere 21 is Belvedere's Museum of Contemporary Art, and is a modernist style steel and glass building. It was designed by Austrian architect Karl Schwanzer as the Austria pavilion for the World Exhibition in 1958. The architect Adolf Krischanitz adapted and remodelled Schwanzer's building for the re-opening in 2011.
The museum features performative installations, film presentations, specialist lecture, readings, concerts and talks with artists, and offers a platform for the local art scene.
The Belvedere 21 sculpture garden showcases works by internationally renowned artists.
