Castello di Brolio, seat of the Ricasoli family, dates back to as early as 1141, and was redesigned by architect Marchetti in Gothic Revival-style in 1835, commissioned by baron Bettino Ricasoli.
The 1,200 hectares of property include 240 hectares of vineyards and 26 of olive groves, in the commune of Gaiole.
