Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Museums & Art Centres, Private Collections
Castle Moosham, today private residence and museum, was first documented in a 1191. Its history is closely linked with the Prince-Archbishops of Salzburg but fell into decay after 1790.  However, in 1886 the Austrian explorer and patron of the arts Count Johann Nepomuk Wilczek acquired the ruin and had it restored.

He also reconstructed Castle Kreuzenstein. (see hereunder) Up to today the complex is still private property of the Wilczek family, though its rooms featuring its extensive art collection are accessible to the public.
