The Château de La Roche-Guyon has known different noble owners: the family de Silly, which became La Roche-Guyon during the Renaissance, the du Plessy-Liancourt family and the present owners from the House de La Rochefoucauld.
The medieval castle, now in ruins but still with its dominating tower on the top of the hill, was joined by important additions beneath it during the 18th century, including a French garden and a vegetable garden.
Today, manages by a 'Etablissement Publique de Coopération Culturelle', the château offers a wide range of activities through exhibitions, artists residences, concerts and other cultural events.
The Château de La Roche-Guyon is also a venue for corporate and private events such as receptions, weddings...
