Château de Ferrières built between 1855 and 1859 for Baron James de Rothschild, designed by the famous architect, gardener and engineer, Sir Joseph Paxton. On request of Baron James the architect based his designs on his designs for castle Mentmore Towers, built for his nephew Baron Mayer Amschel de Rothschild.
The last de Rothschild owner, Baron Guy de Rothschild and his wife Hélène have been hosting famous parties at the château, but donated the property in 1975 to the University of Paris.
Today the Château de Ferrières is a venue for luxurious corporate and private events.
