Château d'Olhain

Castles & Country Houses
Château d'Olhain dates back to the 13th century, but the present construction is from late 15th century. The château is used for regular cultural events and can be visited on request.

Via the powerful d'Olhain and de Nielles families it came into the hands of the Princes of Berghes, who kept it over 450 years until 1900.

The last Prince of Berghes sold it in that year. The present owner restored the château thoroughly.

Probably one of the inhabitants was related to d'Artangan in the "Three Musketeers" of Alexandre Dumas.
