The Danube Museum

The Danube Museum is dedicated to the natural history and culture of the southern part of the Danube lowland in the country. The museum's rich stock of collections represents over 136 thousand objects of art and part of it can be seen in permanent and periodic exhibitions in its 5 buildings.

The Main Building, Palatínova 9, is housing the permanent exhibition: The historical development of Komárno and its enviirons, from the prehistoric age until 1849 and the ethnography of the region.

The Zichy Palace, 9 Klapka György Square, is housing the permanent exhibitions: 'Komárno between 184 - 1945' and 'The famous natives from Komárno - Mor Jokai and Franz Léhar'

The Building of the Museum, 8 Palatínova Street, houses a permanent exhibition and the Library.

The Bastion IV, Boulevard, Houses the Roman Lapidary containing carved stone monuments dating back to the 2 – 4 century AD coming from the two fortifications, the Brigetio and Celemantia Camps, protecting the former border of the Roman Empire. 

The Peasant House in Mattowice, 946 61 Martovce 101, is housing an exposition of popular architecture.
