Gammel Estrup Manor Museum, dating back to 1490, has been owned by the Brock and Scheel family but is since 1930 a museum, showing the life style of Danish nobility through the ages.

It was the builder's great-grandson, Eske Brock ((1560-1625), a close friend of King Christian IV who kept detailed diaries about the life style of the nobility at his time.

Today the rooms 'upstairs and downstairs' are furnished as they might have been in the past.

The manor is surrounded by beautiful gardens such as a Baroque garden, apple orchard, the manor's kitchen garden, carp ponds and an ice house.
