The Grassi Museum of Musical Instruments collection, belongs to the University of Leipzig, has with around 5000 instruments, one of the largest of European collections of its kind. The collection includes some very valuable and old instruments.
The museum also has a sound laboratory, where the visitors can try out some instruments.
