Les Franciscaines, opened in 2020, is a former place of worship transformed by the City of Deauville into an innovative cultural facility, brings together a museum, an auditorium-performance hall, temporary exhibitions, mediation workshops, reading and documentation areas structured around themes dear to Deauville: the horse, cinema, entertainment, photography, the art of living, youth.

This newly created center of art place live all year round to the rhythm of shows, meetings, festivals and many other cultural events.

Within les Franciscaines, a special museum is dedicated to the figurative painter André Hambourg (1909-1999). Most of its collection was donated by his widow to the City of Deauville (539 paintings and 3155 drawings listed to date), whereas the collection is supplemented by 657 works collected by the painter or exchanged with other artists: Marie Laurencin, Foujita, Van Dongen, Derain...

In addition, Les Franciscaines hosts temporary exhibitions including also photographic works by major artists
