Lošinj Museum - Fritzi Palace

Castles & Country Houses, Museums & Art Centres
The Lošinj Museum consists of four parts: the seat of the museum at Fritzi Palace, with its beautiful permanent exhibitions, The Tower Museum with its Maritime collection, the Archaeological Collection of Osor, and the Museum of Apoxyomenos, specially created to house the Croatian Apoxyomenos statue, the bronze statue of a naked young athlete from the 2nd or 1st century BC.

The historical Fritzi Palace built in the 19th century houses the Lošinj Museum together with the permanent exhibitions such as the Art Collections of Mali Lošinj, The Piperata Collection of Old Masters, mainly works of the Italian baroque artists, and The Collection of Croatian Masters of A. V. Mihičić, paintings and sculptures created in the period from 1916 until 1970’s. The Fritzy Gallery with its year-round exhibitions program is placed on the ground floor.
