Mount Usher Garden
Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks
Mount Usher (20 acres) is a very good example of a so-called Robinsonian garden, with its relaxed informality and natural layout. It houses over 5,000 different species of plants.
The garden was founded in 1868 by Edward Walpole Senior. It stayed in the hands of the Walpole family for 112 years, but is still today in private hands.
