The Musée départemental Maurice Denis "The Priory", opened in 1980, is dedicated to Nabi art and in particular the work and collection of Maurice Denis, a French symbolist Nabi painter. The museum housed in his former residence "The Priory".
Les Nabis were a group of post-impressionist French painters active from 1888–1900. Their work is characterised by flat patches of colour, bold contours and simplified drawing
