Museums & Art Centres
Musée des Augustins contains a large collection of paintings and sculptures from the Middle Ages to the 20th century. It was created in 1801 and was one of the 15 museums founded by Napoleon in the provincial centres.
The collections originated at start from confiscation of Church property.
The building dates from 1309 and housed, until the Revolution, the Augustinian convent of Toulouse.
