The Museo do Chiado

The Museo do Chiado, or the National Museum of Contemporary Art of Chiado, is since 1911 dedicated to the Portuguese romantic, naturalist, modern and contemporary art. The museum displays works of leading art movements from the second half of the 19th century to the present day.
The public can also enjoy offers guided tours, conferences, seminars and concerts, as well as learning projects developed by the education service.
The museum is located in the former convent of São Francisco da Cidade, which was completely renovated in the 1990s.
