Museums & Art Centres
The Musée Lambinet is dedicated to the history of the city of Versailees through three departments: The  historical department , linked to the history of the city and the French Revolution; the  Department of Decorative Arts  and the  Department of Fine Arts.

A former 18th century private mansion, the Lambinet museum was built for a building contractor for Louis XV. In 1929, the Lambinet family bequeathed it to the city of Versailles in order to set up a museum open to the public in 1932.
