National Gallery - Schwarzenberg Palace

Castles & Country Houses, Museums & Art Centres
The Schwarzenberg Palace, part of the National Gallery, dates back to the Renaissance of the 16th century, and houses Baroque and Renaissance Art paintings, decorative arts, and historic weapons.

The building bears the name of the princes of Schwarzenberg family, who inherited the palace in the 18th century. The National Gallery Prague acquired it in 2002. The palace received its iconic sgraffito decoration, based on the design of Josef Schulz, in 1870–1874.
