Osterley Park & House

Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Gardens & Parks
Osterley Park was built in the 18th century by the celebrated architect Robert Adam for the Child family. After WW II it was given to the National Trust by George Child-Villiers, 9th Earl of Jersey.

The furniture was sold to the Victoria & Albert Museum, whereas the Earl moved to Jersey, taking with him many paintings and other objects of art.

In 1991 the Trust received many loans and gifts from Lord Jersey including items of silver, porcelain, furniture and miniatures. Furthermore the Trust received on loan from the 10th Earl of Jersey in 2014 a number of portraits of the Child family.

Osterley is surrounded by 145 ha (357 acres) of parkland and lakes, whereas it is one of the few surviving estates in London.

Today the beautiful 18th century gardens have been carefully restored.
