Pensthorpe Natural Park

Gardens & Parks
Pensthorpe Natural Park, covering 280 ha (700 acres), was created as a nature reserve in the 1980s by Bill Makins. In 2003 it was acquired by Bill and Deb Jordan (Jordan Cereals).

The site contains quite a number of gardens, such as The Millennium Garden, The Habitat Garden (The planting and features providing food and habitat for a wide range of creatures.), The Wave Garden and the Corten Infinity Garden, featuring the banana plant and ginger plant. Deep borders of grasses and perennials are planted in bold drifts.

Pensthorpe Conservation Trust (PCT) was formed in 2003, being a charitable trust that works closely with Pensthorpe Natural Park to showcase the importance of species and habitat conservation.
