Pollok House

Pollok House is the ancestral home of the Stirling Maxwell-Jardine families and was built in 1752 by William Adam. Open to the public, it houses a large collection of paintings, furniture, glass, porcelain, books and silverware.

It has an extensive garden, including a restored nineteenth century formal garden. There are terraces, balustraded steps, walks, box-edged parterres, gazebos, over 1,000 species of rhododendrons and views over a woodland garden.
