The Prado National Museum, opened in 1819, is one of the most exquisite and renowned museums in the world. Based on the former Spanish Royal Collection, it offers the visitors today a collection of European art, spanning from the 12th century to the 20th century.
The museum also looks to the future where it will expand and finalize its Prado Campus project, incorporating the Hall of Realms (the old Buen Retiro Palace).
