The Prieuré d'Orsan dates back to the 12th century. The highly sophisticated recreated kitchen gardens, with many garden rooms, are open to the public. The buildings are converted into a hotel, restaurant-tea room... 

Until the Revolution, Orsan, since its inception in 1107 by Robert d'Arbrissel (creator of the abbaye de Fontevrau), has known a rich history. However after the Revolution, the priory was sold and used as a farm.

Very neglected, in 1990 the remaining buildings and surrounding grounds (40 ha) became in the hands of the architect Patrice Taravella, who recreated the gardens and restored the buildings.

Orsan is a perfect venue for corporate and private events, such as weddings, receptions...
